A warm welcome and 1000 years of history awaits you at Gloucester Cathedral, one of the most spectacular medieval buildings in the country. The Cathedral is world famous for its extraordinary fan-vaulted Cloister which appears as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies. A stained-glass window the size of a tennis court, the tomb of the murdered King Edward II and the mysterious Whispering Gallery are just a few of the treasures that visitors will discover whilst here. The Monk’s Kitchen eatery is a great place to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and a delicious snack, lunch or cream tea, and the Cathedral Shop is brimming with souvenirs and unique gifts.
Entry to the Cathedral is free but donation s are welcome.
