Gosport and 'Turk Town': why has our old town got this name? Could the answer lie here within a small Turkish Cemetery?

The Cemetery is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, full of wonderful trees and other flora. When visits are made in September, our very special 'Autumn Lady's Tresses', a beautiful, tiny Orchid, will be seen in abundance.

And there will be time to reflect and thank the many hundreds who are buried in the War Graves here.

A short written history will be available for visitors to take away with them.
