Green Open Spaces of Hillsborough

The area has a number of community gardens where local residents are transforming empty land into green spaces for all. We will be taking a tour visiting all the sites involved in the Green Open Spaces Hillsborough (GOSH) project, whilst taking in numerous points of historical interest along the way. From the 1864 Great Flood, to the grand houses and social history we can still see today, we will be telling the stories of the streets on our route.

The tour will mostly take place on the streets, but with short stretches on grass. There are some hilly parts of the walk which may not be suitable for everyone. People should come suitably prepared for the weather on the day.
I will be wearing a Hidden Sheffield Walks shirt, and there will be Heritage Open Days colours on display at the start point.
