Join Iain Cochran Architects on a tour of Reade House, an imposing Gothic Revival building on Queens Road built in 1893 to designs by J. Saville. The house was constructed as a 12 bedroom private dwelling at a time when Felixstowe was rapidly expanding as a fashionable seaside resort. It later became a school, then a nursing home and was most recently council offices.
It is currently in the process of being returned to residential use in a scheme that will provide 8 apartments.
The tour will take you through the history of the building and the plans to bring it back to life.
