Guided Walk & Tour of Lightwood
Lightwood Reservoir, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK176RN
Take a guided walk around Nestlé’s Lightwood land and discover how nature has flourished through our regeneration efforts on what was once a reservoir.
Along the route, you'll see remnants of the former reservoir infrastructure and learn how the site has been transformed into a thriving habitat, carefully managed in partnership with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.
Please note that parts of the walk may be steep and uneven. We recommend wearing suitable footwear and clothing, and coming prepared for the weather conditions on the day.
The walk may take up to two hours, depending on the route we decide to take for the day.

There is a small area for parking up the gravel path to Lightwood. Excluding this, nearby roadside parking is available with a short walk up to the meeting point (gate).
