Learn about Harefield's three Victoria Cross winners - Robert Ryder, Cecil Kinross and Gerald Goodlake; Harefield's experiences during WW2; the role of women in the Royal British Legion's Poppy Day appeal from just after the first World War to the present day. Find out about how and why the British Legion was formed in 1921 and how it has served ex-servicemen and women in Harefield for over a hundred years.

Harefield Social Club & the Harefield Branch of the Royal British Legion, located to the rear of St. Mary's Church hall, Harefield High Street. There is limited car parking space outside the venue. Free parking on Harefield High Street and nearby. There is no train station at Harefield. Local buses - the U9 or 331 bus from Uxbridge Station (Metropolitan & Piccadilly lines) and 331 bus from Northwood Station (Metropolitan line) towards Harefield Hospital. Buses can also be picked up from Denham station (Chiltern Main Line).
