An opportunity to see original trade catalogues, photographs and design documents from the Ken Hawley Archive celebrating the rich history and heritage of Sheffield’s light trade companies.

See original design drawings for the sterling silver model of Blackpool Tower & the Lonsdale Belt by Mappin & Webb. Trade Catalogues from companies that exported goods worldwide. Photographs and art works of the craftsmen and women and the buildings in which they worked.

Volunteers will be around to give guidance on using the digital tool ‘Name on a Knife Blade’ and and viewing films of Sheffield skills and companies on the You Tube Channel.

The Ken Hawley Collection Trust housed within Kelham Island Museum is entirely run by volunteers. The Trust has over 100,000 objects including tools, cutlery, photographs, paper archives and ephemera related to Sheffield light trades
