Join artist Beth J Ross for a guided tour of the Spittal and Tweedmouth route of 'Her Extraordinary Colours'. Inspired by women’s contributions to Berwick's history,discover the stories behind twenty vibrant new flags flying across the area.

"Her Extraordinary Colours" is a Berwick Shines and Living Barracks Project where artists can use the town's amazing historic collections to inspire their work. Find out more about the histories of the women represented through this inspiring project, and how they are intertwined with the heritage of the area.

Directions:
Please note that the walk on Sunday 14 September @ 11 am which covers Tweedmouth and Spittal will start at the Tweedmouth War Memorial. The Berwick walks start at the Maltings Cinema @ Berwick Barracks.

There will be some slopes to wall up/down. There will an accessible toilet and disabled parking available at the start of the Berwick walks.

Additional information

Please wear suitable footwear for walking. Suitable for children 10+. The morning walk on 14 September will be in Tweedmouth and Spittal whilst the afternoon walk will concentrate on Berwick. If you can't come on the walks, you can see some of the flags on buildings open as part of Heritage Open Days over 19 - 21 September including the Old Coastguard Station.
