Heritage Day at Towcester Museum – 19th Sept. Enjoy free exhibition entry plus hands‑on activities: kids’ archaeological dig, cave painting, mosaics, and volunteers dressed as historical figures. A fun, family day celebrating local history.

Heritage Day at Towcester Museum – Saturday 19 September

Join us for a special Heritage Day celebration at Towcester Museum. Enjoy free entry to all museum exhibitions as part of the national Heritage Open Days programme, with additional hands‑on activities running throughout the day.

Families can take part in our archaeological dig, designed especially for younger visitors who want to uncover hidden “finds” and learn how real archaeologists work. Creative stations will be open for everyone, including cave painting inspired by prehistoric art and Roman‑style mosaics.

Throughout the museum you’ll also meet volunteers dressed as historical figures, ready to share stories, answer questions, and bring the past to life.

We look forward to welcoming you for a fun, friendly, and history‑filled day for all ages.
