Join us for a rewarding morning of conservation volunteering, restoring this unique limestone habitat to support local wildlife . We’ll be getting hands-on to help nature thrive on the geology of the Blisworth Limestone bedrock.

Be a Heritage Hero and help protect this special corner of our natural heritage for generations to come! If you fancy a go at volunteering why not come along and help us restore this historic limestone! You might even find some fossils too!

Blisworth Limestone is a unique and rich part of our local geological heritage and provides a unique home for specialist mosses, lichens, invertebrates, and wildflowers. Over time, these features can become lost to scrub, moss and vegetation. Clearing the rock face and creating bare earth patches are two important actions that help support a rich variety of wildlife and preserve our natural heritage.

This event starts at 10:00am at Great Linford Manor Park.

All participants will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing, including sturdy boots or shoes, a hat, water and snacks and sunscreen (because conservation doesn’t stop for the sun). Participants could also bring their own gardening gloves (if preferred).

Participants of all ages are welcome on this activity but attendees under 18 years old must be supervised at all times.

There is no need to book and you don't have to stay for the full session - so please come along for as long as you'd like.
