Join us at the Somerset Heritage Centre for drop in family-friendly activities and behind-the-scenes tours.
Heritage Open Days are a chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore. This year’s event is part of The Museum of Somerset’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

Join us for family-friendly activities exploring this year’s Heritage Open Day theme of ‘buildings’ – no need to book, just drop in. FREE.

Pre-booked Guided Tours

There will also be a special behind-the-scenes tour with the chance to see museum objects not normally on display. FREE.

Accessibility details

There is a free public car park at the front of the building with space for around 30 cars and three disabled parking spaces. There is level access from the car park to the public areas of the Heritage Centre. Both buildings have disabled toilets.
