A chance to see inside the Grade II listed folly known as The Hermitage and to meet some of the volunteers who help to maintain it.

The Hermitage, Manor Gardens

The Gothic style Hermitage was built in the late 1700s as a gazebo for the nearby Manor House. Inside there will be a small heritage display and volunteers will explain more about the building and the work of the Friends of Manor Gardens and Gildredge Park. (What3Words location: petal.mute.tops)

The Old (Medieval) Manor House in Eastbourne was built before 1463 by the Jamys family and has had building additions from each era through to the late 1920s. Recently restored as a family home, this is the first time it has been open to the public.
