Celebrate 100 years of Hill End 'Camp' with a guided tour of beautiful grounds and heritage dormitories.

For 100 years, Hill End has provided exciting outdoor experiences that connect people with nature.

A visit to this much-loved outdoor education centre has made a lasting impression on generations of children from Oxfordshire and beyond – estimated at least a million people and counting!

We are inviting our community to enjoy a guided tour of our stunning grounds and wonderful heritage buildings, not normally open to the public.

We will also visit the wonderful 1930s High Dormitory, still used for residential trips today (and perhaps the odd midnight feast...) and discover a century of education immersed in nature.

About Hill End

Hill End was established in the 1920s as a pioneering outdoor school by the philanthropic ffennell family. They brought the first schools to the countryside by charabanc, starting back in 1926 when the children from West Oxford Elementary School visited for picnics and outdoor activities.

Of course Hill End is still providing those amazing experiences and creating new memories today – we welcomed around 24,000 visitors last year. We stay true to our founding legacy and work with a hugely diverse range of schools and charities to target those who need this most.
