Additional information

Be amazed by Aston. Aston was a wealthier place than Birmingham until industrialisation began 200 years ago. The grade 2* building is amazing. The oldest memorials are to the Arden Family (William Shakespeare's mother), the most recent given by the community for 2 teanage girls killed in a gangland shooting at a New Years party in 2003. Suggest allowing at least an hour for your visit, more if attanding a guided tour or talk.
