Discover more of what lies behind the doors of Old Carrow House with these engaging heritage tours led by The Shoebox Experience. Each visit offers a glimpse into the lives of the Colman family, whose influence helped shape Norwich through innovation, enterprise, and philanthropy.
As you move through the house, you’ll explore a series of historic spaces, each with its own story to tell. From elegant rooms that once hosted guests to quieter corners where important decisions were made. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights, anecdotes, and lesser-known details that bring the building’s past to life.
Although these are shorter taster tours, they offer a rich introduction to the history of Carrow House and its significance within the city. Perfect for those curious about Norwich’s heritage, the experience provides a unique opportunity to step inside a site that has long been closed to the public and discover the legacy it holds today.
