From millers to market-gardeners, toll-house keepers to telephone operators, farmers to farriers - the history of everyday people is celebrated and brought to life at Avoncroft Museum.
Discover how people worked, prepared food, washed and went to the loo before all our modern conveniences were invented, and how they had fun in their leisure time.

Accessibility details
There is blue badge parking close to the entrance. Accessible toilets and baby changing spaces are available. Most buildings including the tearoom are step-free access. Due to the historic nature of the buildings, not all upstairs spaces are accessible. The buildings are linked by wide hard standing paths and there are well positioned benches around the grounds (including wheelchair accessible). The site is mostly flat, although there is one steep hill to the ice house. Large print maps are available on request. There is a sensory garden and plenty of quiet space even on a busy day.
