Join our Curator Bethany Joyce as you are transported through the over 500 year history of The Wardrobe. From its medieval beginnings in the 13th century to its use during the Second World War, and now in its present state as a museum, The Wardrobe has been an integral part of the history of Salisbury. Learn how the building got its name, hear stories from those who lived here, and handle objects that bring the history of the The Wardrobe to life.

The talk will be held in the Regimental Room at The Wardrobe.
This is a free ticketed event due to space restrictions.

Accessibility details

The event is held in our Regimental Room which is upstairs. The first flight of stairs has a stair lift. The second flight is 5 steps which are relatively steep.

Additional information

There is no public parking at the Museum. Limited parking is available in The Close, at a charge of £10 per day. There are several other car parks in the city centre which are less than ten minutes walk from The Close, all clearly signposted on approach roads to the city. There is also an extensive Park and Ride system around Salisbury.
