  • 20 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Come and look at the marvellous collection of kneelers which display beautiful tapestry. The colours and images are a work of art and will tell a story of the history of the town.

Church kneelers often referred to as Hassocks are so much more than simply a source for comfortable knees. Kneeling in prayer dates back to ancient times and can often be evidenced by the tapestries. The symbolic meaning represents humility, reverence and devotion before God.
