Holderness House
Holderness Road, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU8 8PA
Welcoming small groups at a time, the public will be able to see the grounds and selected areas of the main house which have not previously been open to view. This will be an exciting opportunity to share the history of the building and the story of the man who gifted it to the City.
This public event forms part of a series of stakeholder engagement events as Trustees consult on the future community use of this historic site. Scheduled events will last two hours. Numbers will be restricted to 30 people per session with visitors encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy the grounds. A number of rooms will be open to the public including the main entrance and stairway, Library, Lounge and up to three bedrooms on the grounds floor which will be set up with information on Ferens and this history of the home.
The event will be similar to visiting a National Trust property with volunteer guides stationed in each room and on the grounds to maintain security whilst also being able to share some of the history.
Pre-booking via Eventbrite or phone will be necessary
