Come and see inside our Church, formally opened in 1912. You can learn more about the everyday people who have contributed to the story of Holy Family Church. You can also take part in a heritage trail.

This is a chance for everyone to come along to see inside a much-loved local Catholic Church. We are open on Sunday 20th September from 1pm-5pm. The building is accessible for wheelchair users.
Holy Family Catholic Church Brompton Road Southport, as it is today, was formally opened on Sunday April 14th 1912 (the Titanic sank on April 15th 1912). It had been planned back in 1890 when the land for a school- with a chapel on the top- was purchased for £212. This building was opened in 1893 and remained there, as Holy Family Primary School, until its demolition in 1983. The area where the original building stood is now the car park. Over its history, there have been many everyday people who have contributed to the life of Holy Family Parish. We are celebrating some of them in our display and there is also the opportunity to follow a heritage trail around the church.
