Holy Trinity, Kendal Parish Church Bell Tower

Kendal Parish Church, Kirkland, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 5AF

  • Multiple dates available
  • | In person
  • | Pre-booking preferred
  • | Walk / Tour

Visit our magnificent Bell Tower. Climb to the ringing room and then to the bell chamber in the company of our Bell Captain and team of ringers.

Our bell tower is normally closed to the public so this is a rare chance to climb the tower to see and hear the bell being rung at close quarters.

Also try your hand at ringing using our Wombel - bell ringing simulator.

A reasonable level of fitness is needed to climb the tower's narrow spiral staircase, and we require visitors to wear suitable shoes. Children of school age are welcome with an adult. As we advise you to keep both hands free for your own safety, young children cannot be carried. The tower is not suitable for anyone frightened by heights or confined spaces. The tower is not suitable if you have a medical condition such as a heart or respiratory disorder which may be exacerbated by climbing stairs.
