Explore Horne’s Place Chapel with rare access on Heritage Open Days! Enjoy volunteer-led talks throughout the day and listen to medieval carols within this atmospheric historic chapel at 12pm. Open to the public only during Heritage Open Days.

A rare survival of a fine domestic chapel, Horne's Place Chapel was built for William Horne in 1366 and attached to his timber-framed manor house, which was attacked during the Peasants' Revolt of 1381.
Take your time exploring the chapel, admire its traditional architecture and imagine the generations of people who have passed through its doors. Our friendly volunteers will be on hand to share stories and answer your questions. We will also have musicians playing inside the chapel from 12pm to help bring the site and history to life.
