In the Footsteps of the Fords

This guided walk includes visits to the two historic buildings associated with the Ford family which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Staring at St Bartholomew’s Church, the circular route will take in several heritage sites including the former railway station and ironworks.
The event is organised by St Bartholomew’s Church in collaboration with Potteries Heritage Society and the Ford Green Hall museum. For further exploration, both the museum and church will be hosting separate Heritage Open Days on the 14th and 20th September respectively. [links tbc]
The event highlights the national theme of ‘Architecture’ and forms part of Stoke-on-Trent’s Centenary celebrations.

The walk is primarily on good paths and pavements. There are a few steps which can be avoided if arranged in advance. Please let us know if you have any mobility issues.
