Be enchanted by Island Hall - this lovingly restored Georgian grandeur of the 18th century mansion. Discover the family story behind the façade and explore the secluded privacy of the gardens and the Island, enfolded by The River Great Ouse.

Island Hall is home to the Vane Percy family, whose ancestors have had an association with since 1804, having lived in this finely proportioned, intimate Georgian mansion for eight generations.

The house and gardens you see today are a dream fulfilled for Christopher Vane Percy, one of the country’s leading interior designers, past President of the British Institute of Interior Design & International Interior Design Association, who will be also delivering the tour. We invite you to discover the family story and candid anecdotes behind the stately façade and find out more about the house's painstaking restoration phases and present life.

One of the special attractions is the private island hidden from the view behind the house and accessible from the garden via the elegant Chinese bridge.

Island Hall is very much a family home (still privately owned), and this is the atmosphere that we try to preserve. We take immense pride in maintaining this beautiful house, and it is with genuine pleasure we welcome interested guests to our much-loved family home, and we hope you will enjoy your visit.

To welcome you to Island Hall and to celebrate the opening day of the Heritage Open Days Festival 2026, tea/coffee and biscuits will be served on arrival, followed by the guided tour of the property and the grounds.
