Veolia are opening their doors at the Gillmoss Materials Recovery Facility. Come and find out about the journey of your waste and recycling and get an update to help you Recycle Right. Our free tours last about 1.5 hours and booking is required.

Veolia and Merseyside Recycling Waste Authority are dedicated to changing perceptions of waste within Merseyside. By considering why wasting things does matter and identifying actions to reduce, reuse and recycle, you will go home more knowledgeable about your impact upon the environment and be inspired to make a difference.

Do you Recycle Right? Or are you confused over what can and can't be recycled? Book on a free tour and we will demystify it all for you.

Our state-of-the-art Materials Recovery Facility deals with over 250 tonnes of recycling a day. The sorting process takes about 11 minutes to complete. You will be amazed how it's done!

Accessibility details

While our Visitor's Centre is on the 2nd floor, there is a lift. Once in the centre, it is on one level with no stairs and fully accessible.
