This Listed Kiosk has recently been adopted by the Trust for Devizes. It has been partly restored but work is still in progress.

Telephone Kiosk, The Chequers, Devizes

The telephone kiosk is a type K6. It was listed by Historic England on 31st January 1989. Designed For the GPO in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Made by Lion Foundry. The kiosk is square with a domed roof. Unperforated George VI crowns to top panels and margin glazing to windows and door.

St. John's Church was built in the early 12th Century by the Bishops of Salisbury. It was initially the Church for the Castle, its governor and garrison - the Castle Church. It is now a grade 1 listed magnificent building.
