King's Langley - Heritage Self-Guided Walks

Pick up a booklet in All Saints' Church, with details of a self-guided tour of King's Langley. The walk will highlight interesting sites in the village, along with a plan to guide the participant.

There are two walks available. There is a shorter (and flatter) circular route, which will take you along the old High Street to what was the old vicarage, and then back to the church via the modern High Street. For those wanting a longer walk, the other route will take you up the hill (locally rumoured to be the 'hill' in the poem "The Grand Old Duke of York"), past the old place and the remains of the priory, across the cricket common before returning down to the village and church.

For those adventurous, why not take on both walks? (Various pubs are en route for those seeking refreshments!)

Upon your return to All Saints' Church, explore the interior, which holds the tomb of Edmund de Langley, the 1st Duke of York.

All Saints' Church will be open 1000-1600 for visitors to pick up booklets for the self-guided trails and explore. Visitors participating in the self-guided walks are responsible for their own saftey.
