We know from visitors' testimony that in its past our home at King Street has housed: a tax office, a costume store for The Dukes theatre, a home for the British Legion, and an artists' hangout!
Come and see the everyday life of artists in our studios, how and where they work, discuss the everyday processes of creativity with them, and see the different ways they interpret their skills and crafts. Our studios include artists working with paint, drawing, paper, printmaking, mixed media and ceramics. See the world through artists' eyes and how they re-interpret our everyday lives into something magical through the process of art!
King Street Arts is a self-funding arts organisation with a focus on the visual arts. We believe that being moved by art and creating art in all its forms has the power to bind us all together; to see, to share and to feel what it is to be alive. Our focus is to bring art & people together to celebrate the power & energy engaging with creativity can bring into our lives. King Street Arts seek to support artists & the public by creating exhibitions and workshops which encourage engagement, stretch boundaries and look for new horizons.
