Kingston Guildhall
Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Guildhall, High Street, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT1 1EU
The Guildhall was designed by Sir Aston Webb in 1935 for the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames, to replace the old Council offices in Clattern House and the adjacent court buildings. Its unusual shape was designed to make the most of a small site.
See the 'state' rooms in the Guildhall, only by guided tour on 13 September. The tours at 10.15 and 11.00may include the Mayor's parlour.
The tours will start in the History Centre, where items on the history of the building will be on display. The History Centre will be open throughout the day.
The History Centre, in the magistrate's court, is open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10.00-12.30 and 14.00-16.30. Advance booking is preferred but not vital.
