The Leicestershire Archaeological & Historical Society invites you to explore our magnificent archival sources and rare book collection inside the historic Jury Room at the Leicester Guildhall.
Since 1855, the Society has remained steadfast in its core mission: to promote, study, and preserve the rich history, archaeology, antiquities, and architecture of Leicestershire and Rutland.
Following our vital role in saving the Guildhall from demolition a century ago, we were proudly granted permanent use of this historic space to safeguard our specialist research library. View remarkable regional maps and unique publications from our collection, safely guided by our own highly knowledgeable Honorary Librarian, Aubrey Stevenson.
