Lancashire Archives Open Day

Explore the iconic Record Office building on Saturday 20th September from 10am – 4pm..

Places on the archives tours are limited to 15 per tour and must be pre-booked. Entrance via Arthur Street.
11am – 11.40am – tour 1
12.30pm – 1.10pm – tour 2
2pm – 2.40pm – tour 3
3.30pm – 4.10pm – tour 4

You are also welcome to just drop in to see original building plans and talk to representatives from local history organisations.

Café Archives will be open from 10.30am – 4pm with a selection of drinks and cakes available to purchase. All funds raised will go towards supporting Friends of Lancashire Archives.

We will also be holding tours and talks in County Hall Chambers and Christ Church Chapel as well as being open for you to learn more about council services - for more information on these events please see our booking site.

The nearest rail station is Preston, from which Lancashire Archives less than a 5-minute walk. Preston Bus Station is a 10-15 minute walk.
