This self-led Trail was designed for exploring Lee with your children, on a trail that helps them to discover the relevance of buildings and the history along the way. It may also help new people to the Lee area to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the background and features of Lee.
Taking in 30 places of interest along the route, this is a walk of about 2.5 miles and can be covered at a reasonable walking pace in about 1 hour.
You can download and print the trail sheet from the event page (link below). Printed copies will also be available at Lee Community Hub & The Book Shop in Lee. Also, from the event page link below, you can download a digital copy that will read well on your mobile phone when you are out and about.
As an addition to this Trail, we offer greater knowledge of the area to adults via the event page (link below) to our video, 'A Virtual Heritage Walk of Lee Historic Waterfront and HMS Daedalus Planes', created by Gosport HODs in 2020, in consultation with Lee Residents Association, to represent Lee walks which which their volunteers had previously offered pre-pandemic.
