Leigh Marshes Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)

An opportunity to walk around the site whilst it is closed - understand the new lay out better and talk to staff about what happens to the waste.
Find out more about the new materials that can now be recycled at the HWRC and the increased recycling rates.
Talk to staff about the Havens Hospices Reuse Shop at Stock Road and how items are taken from the HWRC for reuse and resale. All profits go directly to Havens Hospices a local charity in Southend-on-Sea.

Accessibility details

Visitors with disabilities will be guided to a parking space on site. Parking spaces may be limited. All other parking available in the car park immediately opposite the HWRC - paid for parking.

Additional information

The event is held all outdoors. Best to wear enclosed footwear that is comfortable for walking in. Clothing should be suitable for the weather conditions on the day. There is very little shade available at this site when it is sunny.
