Leith Hill Place & Tower
Leith Hill Place, Leith Hill Lane, Holmbury St. Mary, Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6LY
Leith Hill Place is an Arts and Wellbeing Hub situated in a spectacular location overlooking the Sussex Weald. Home to musical legends, Ralph Vaughan Williams and more recently Hans Zimmer, Leith Hill Place is a wonderful place to stop on a walk, relax and enjoy a fabulous cream tea, or be inspired by the programming themes or ever-changing artworks displayed inside. This year’s programming theme is Enclosure, looking at how hundreds of years of enclosures acts has changed attitudes towards our countryside, who belongs there, and what it means to various people.
The Tower is the highest point in South East England with views from Shoreham on the coast to the London skyline. The prospect tower is a folly built by Richard Hull who is buried beneath its walls.
