On September 12th, Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution hosts a great interactive exhibit Let Nature Work its Magic: Three naturalists who loved birds.
The exhibit introduces the work of three 19th Century naturalists: John James Audubon, Leonard Jenyns and Gilbert White. By learning about the work of these three famous ornithologists, BRLSI hope you will uncover your own love of the natural world and be inspired to share it with them via their upcoming photography competition. If you fancy yourself a fledgling wildlife photographer, here is your chance to show us your finest creation.
Discover the connections that existed between the work of these three great bird lovers and the thread that connects them to BRLSI. How was it that the Barn Owl came to be of observed by each of them? And how does this connect to The Origin of Species?
Be sure while you are in the building to explore BRLSI’s fantastic new photography exhibition ‘Worlds Apart’ and the day also coincides with BRLSI’s conference on Early Photography.
