Let's Not Forget - A Walk in the Past

We have used AR (Augmented Reality) to create interactive displays showcasing Luton’s history. Across 7 locations in the Dallow ward of Luton, you’ll find a mix of on-site artwork that has been incorporated into the AR experience. Follow the map alongside our mascot, who will guide you through Luton’s rich heritage.

The experience is completely free and will include live actors at each location to help immerse you in the journey. After completing the trail, visitors can explore our museum at the main location, where you can discover how we used AR and the research behind bringing this experience to life.

Directions:

There will be a marquee in the park featuring our logo to attract attention. The museum, which showcases how we developed the AR experience, will be located around the back of 30 Brantwood Road. There will be plenty of staff on hand to help escort visitors and direct them to each location.

We have ensured that the route is fully accessible, with pathways suitable for all visitors. All QR codes are positioned in locations that can be easily reached by wheelchair users. Additional information

In our museum exhibition, there will also be an opportunity to watch a first-person POV version of the tour for visitors who may not wish to experience the AR trail themselves. Visitors will also be able to explore our gallery, showcasing how the AR experience was created and highlighting the development process, including some of our early artwork and designs. Light refreshments will be provided during the gallery viewing.
