It is easy to see why this stunning location overlooking the Severn horseshoe bend was chosen by the Romans. Explore the Roman remains in situ and the restored foundation remains of a Nymphaeum identified as a shrine to Sabrina, goddess of the River Severn, in the outer grounds of Littledean Hall. This is an archaeological site incorporating pre Roman Celtic, Bronze Age and Neolithic elements There is an ongoing programme of site conservation.
Enjoy the lovely setting and learn about the unusual and rare finds discovered here since 1984. You could also take a short walk to the wonderful view of the River Severn from Pleasant Stile.
