Liverpool Cathedral Tours
Liverpool Cathedral, St. James Road, Liverpool, Merseyside, L1 7AZ
Liverpool Cathedral is the UK's largest cathedral, built between 1904 and 1978 by the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Within its soaring spaces are thousands of fascinating stories, remarkable works of art, and living heritage traditions that continue to shape Cathedral life today.
As part of Heritage Open Days, we're offering a range of free guided tours and talks by volunteers and staff, giving visitors the chance to explore the Cathedral from new perspectives.
Discover the Cathedral's surprising connections to medicine and healthcare, uncover architectural details hidden in plain sight on an outside tour, marvel at the artistry of our stained glass windows, or join a special one-off tour of the Cathedral's contemporary art collection. You can also learn about the people commemorated within our walls and hear the story of how this extraordinary building came to be.
