Lodge Farm has been described as "one of the most important buildings discovered since WWII " and is a late C14th First Floor Hall House. Once the hunting lodge of the huge royal manor of Kingston Lacy it stands on a site that dates back to the stone age and is full of archaeological features. The garden which is rich in wildlife and nature is currently being gently conserved. The talk is outdoors only, with no parking on site and will tell the story of this fascinating small historic gem with a display of archaeological finds from the site. The ground is uneven, so care needs to be taken.
