In June 1940 several thousand children and their teachers were evacuated away from the threat of wartime bombing and invasion to safety in communities in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Trace where your relatives may have been evacuated to. Features some great memories of evacuation day and features details of Glossop where over 500 were found a place of safety.
