Mapping Movement in Colour
Carrow House, King Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 2TG
Join artist, facilitator and tutor Shathy Bano for an engaging, creative workshop that invites you to explore and map your own story through colour and collage. Drawing on her extensive experience in arts facilitation and community practice, Shathy will guide you through an intuitive and playful process designed to help you reflect on personal narratives, identity, and cultural heritage.
Working with a range of materials, you’ll experiment with layering, composition, and colour to create a visual representation of your experiences and influences. This workshop is grounded in themes of everyday histories, encouraging participants to consider how individual stories connect to wider communities and shared cultural journeys.
Shathy creates a welcoming and supportive environment where there is no pressure to produce a ‘perfect’ outcome. Instead, the focus is on exploration, expression, and the joy of making. Her approach combines artistic practice with insights from her background in social work and art-based research, offering a meaningful and inclusive experience for all.
Whether you’re new to creative activities or already enjoy making, this session provides a thoughtful opportunity to reflect, connect, and express your story in a unique and personal way.
