Free entry to the castle on the day. Our band of medieval re-enactors will bring history to life with living history displays and combat.

Accessibility details

Access to the inner bailey is via a steep Barbican slope. Once inside seating is limited. The keep will be open for the duration of the event but has over 100 stairs and no other access routes

Additional information

There is limited parking around the castle. The Castle Car Park on Low Rd is pay per app only and has a grace period of only 5 minutes. There are busses and the railway station is half a mile away. If you are parking on the roads around the site please be courteous to local residents and ensure you do not block driveways or bus routes.
