Bishop’s Waltham Museum is inviting everyone to come and meet crafters at Bishop’s Waltham Palace. Crafts include basket weaving, bee keeping with candle making, lace making and many more. The crafts people will be showing their work and demonstrating. You are also most welcome to bring your own crafting projects and work with us on the day!
Bishop’s Waltham Palace is a beautiful location to make a day of it in the heart of the town. Refreshments will be available but you can also bring a picnic. The museum’s 2026 exhibition is on the branch line railway, and there is also information on the Palace and the local area too. If you don’t fancy that, then how about some dressing up (and other children’s activities)?

- The Palace is well signposted near the centre of the Town. We have a small car park, but more parking is available in the town, together with shops, cafes and restaurants.

Accessibility details
Some areas of the Palace, including the platform and the upper floor, are not accessible to wheelchairs. Other areas of the Palace have uneven ground. We will have temporary toilets for the event, but they may not be disabled-friendly. We have a small car park, but there is plenty of parking in the road and town centre. Dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are welcome in the grounds and the museum.
