A guided walk along the beautiful River Chess covering Chesham's historic milling and watercress industries.

Take a romp through the history of Waterside, both human and natural, on this guided walk. The walk will pass former mills and watercress beds - two major industries in Chesham through the centuries. Many of these sites are now recreational areas that are being actively managed for nature with fantastic results. Your knowledgeable walk leader from the River Chess Association will tell you about the wildlife you get to see, as well as the industrial heritage that depended on the chalk stream flowing through Waterside, and gave employment to many past Chesham residents.
