Mother Ludlam's Cave
Waverley Abbey, Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 8EP
A short flat walk, starting from Waverley Abbey and following the Greensand Way, which runs alongside the River Wey, to Mother Ludlam's Cave. This is a small natural cave in the sandstone cliff forming the side of the Wey valley. A spring in the cave was used as a water supply for Waverley Abbey as far back as the 13th century. An ironstone arched entrance was constructed, it is believed, in the 19th century.
