The scale and beauty of Stowe has attracted visitors for over 300 years. Picture-perfect views, winding paths, lakeside walks and temples create a timeless landscape, reflecting the changing seasons.

Full of hidden meaning, the gardens were created as an earthly paradise and still cast their spell today. The sheer size and space is perfect for those who love the outdoors and enjoy walking.

Enjoy free entry to Stowe Gardens during Heritage Open Week between Friday 11 - Sunday 20 September.

On Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September, in addition to exploring Stowe's 250 acres of landscape gardens for free, you'll be able to see inside the Gothic Temple – usually an exclusive holiday cottage for the Landmark Trust - explore Stowe’s Parish Church, peek inside the Temple of Concord and Victory and enjoy special access to Dido’s cave.

Please note: During our special access days, the Gothic Temple and Dido’s Cave will be open for visits from 1030 to 1630. Pre-booking is advised for the Gothic Temple via their website www.landmarktrust.org.uk
