Nettlecombe Court will be opening its doors to the public. Come and explore our historic manor house and grounds, and learn how people lived and worked here throughout the centuries.

Nettlecombe Court is a largely Elizabethan manor house, although it also contains architectural elements from the 16th to 18th centuries, including a late medieval hall and a Tudor parlour. The house is a Grade I listed building and is situated in a beautiful parkland estate, along with the Church of St Mary the Virgin. The grounds of the Nettlecombe estate are also ecologically significant as they have been managed as woodland pasture or parkland for over 400 years; making them home to a wide range of veteran trees and nationally scarce species of lichens and beetles.

For most of its history, Nettlecombe has been home to the Trevelyan family and visitors can learn about their lives throughout the centuries as they explore the building. Today the house is used as a field centre, educating young people about the environment around them, but during the open day, visitors are welcome to explore the house, church, and surrounding parkland.
