A Victorian church designed in the Gothic style by the architect George Edmund Street and paid for by the shareholders of the London and North Western Railway Company. Originally built for the families who moved to New Bradwell to support the new railway works at Wolverton and still valued and enjoyed by the congregation and community today.

Inside is the 12th century chancel arch rescued from St Peter’s Church, Stanton Low and installed in 1969 to surround the west door.

St James’ houses a range of interesting and beautiful stained glass windows, including the “Old Testament” Moira windows, made by Gerald Moira of Canterbury in the Art Nouveau style.
