Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Dales; all brought to life through over 30,000 exhibits, 13 exhibition spaces and 15 full size re-creations, free digital tour, and free Children's digital trail

The award-winning Nidderdale Museum brings the rich heritage of the dale to life with a huge treasure trove of exhibits, photos and video.

Housed in an imposing Victorian Workhouse, history is brought to life in ways that take you back through time; sit in an old school room or pub snug, walk down the mine tunnel, see the table laid for tea in a Victorian parlour, visit a complete Cobbler's shop, look in at the Dairy and Blacksmith's, and hear the sound of Nidderdale's forgotten steam trains.

There is also a digital guide and trail, as well as a brilliant children's digital activity; follow the fun clues to help Dotty Butterworth (a proper Yorkshire ladybird) to find her missing 'children' located throughout the museum
