  • Multiple dates available
  • In person

To celebrate architecture on the railway, we will share information about the built heritage on the NYMR, with a particular focus on Pickering Station.

To demonstrate railway architecture as part of an operational environment, there will be a working model of Gallows Close yard, Scarborough which is on loan to the railway from its owner and creator, Christopher Martin. Along with, a rolling presentation of Built Heritage along the NYMR and plans, drawings and images relating to architecture at Pickering Station. Our collection boasts over 8000 fascinating items, including signage, notices, signals, maps, drawings, and artefacts. Find out more about just some of these objects within our collection. Whether you're intrigued by railway history, design, or engineering, there's something for everyone to explore. Our volunteers, true history enthusiasts, will be on hand to answer your questions, provide insights, and share the stories behind the artefacts.
